Great Ocean Road and Red Centre Tour
Melbourne - Darwin (31 Days)
The first leg of this trip takes us from Melbourne to Adelaide via the spectacular Great Ocean Road. Highlights include a stopover in Warnambool and two days at Mt Gambier where we visit the Blue Lake, take a trip to the cave gardens and go on a heritage walk. An aqua tour is included in your tour fee, during which we travel to the bottom of the lake crater in a glass-panelled lift.
We stay four nights in Adelaide at a five star caravan park with full facilities where you can enjoy a full day orientation tour (cost already covered) and a few days free to see the sights at your own leisure.
Our trip from Adelaide to the top end of the country contains innumerable highlights such as: wine tasting at the Barossa Valley, underground mines homes and churches at Coober Pedy, a three-day National Park entry pass at Uluru - (Ayers Rock) with sunset and sunrise viewings, a ranger guided Mala walk and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas).
Several interesting walks are on offer at Kings Canyon and at Alice Springs we enjoy a group BBQ and a self-drive orientation tour. At Tennant Creek we see the Devils Marbles, the Battery Hill Centre and a number of other fascinating attractions. At Katherine Gorge we enjoy a two-hour guided boat cruise, and swim in the hot springs.
Attractions at Darwin include a self-drive orientation tour and a full day in the Northern Territory Wildlife Park .
