Back in 2003 Athol and Diane established Kiwi Travel Club (KTC) and began escorting large campervan convoys on 75-day tours through Australia. They now prefer smaller groups and shorter tours but it is fair to say they know the Red Centre better than some locals.  Without a doubt the Red Centre is a magical place situated miles from the bright city lights. It is one of the best places in the world to view the sunrise and at Uluru the sunset on the red rock is something you will remember for a long time. Depending on which option you select the tour starts either in Alice Springs or Adelaide. We have three nights at Alice Springs which began life as a telegraph station and while it is a lot bigger now, it still has that small- town feeling.  We have an extended three-night stay at Ayers Rock Resort providing plenty of time to explore Uluru and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and learn something about the local culture. And let’s not forget our two-night stay at Coober Pedy, the Opal Capital of the world

KTC tours are designed for the more mature traveller with easy paced itineraries and a mix of organised activity and free time to do your thing. We appreciate many of our travellers are on fixed incomes or have a limited travel budget. Our aim is to provide tours that are both affordable and offer good value for money. Your tour fee includes comfortable accommodation in motels, hotels, and lodges. All breakfasts and most dinners are included. (See itinerary for details). Also included is pre-paid entry to all must see attractions on tour and the services of a local guide at Uluru. It’s not all sightseeing, we have informal get togethers and happy hours that make group touring with KTC a great way to travel.

This is a small group tour with 10 – 20 travellers. Depending on demand on this tour we will be using 12 – 25 seater minibuses. Regular stops are made to visit attractions, take photos, and of course morning tea and lunch. We try and avoid early morning starts and depart after breakfast on travelling days arriving at our destination around 4 – 5pm
